
Magnificent projection mapping inspired by the 1,400-year history and culture of Senso-ji will be projected onto the Hozo-mon Gate, the Five-Storied Pagoda, and the Important Cultural Property Niten-mon Gate using advanced digital animation technology.
Venue: Hozo-mon Gate, Five-Storied Pagoda, Niten-mon Gate at Senso-ji
Admission: Free, no advance reservation required
Projection mapping on the Hozo-mon Gate and Five-Storied Pagoda consists of approx. 6 minutes of content, continuously projected with an approx. 3-minute intermission.
These projections will be displayed on the south side (towards Nakamise Shopping Street) and can be viewed from Nakamise Shopping Street.
Projection mapping on the Five-Storied Pagoda can also be viewed from within Denboin Garden during the paid nighttime special viewing.
Projection mapping on the Niten-mon Gate (west side, facing the Main Hall) consists of approx. 3 minutes of content, continuously projected.
Projection mapping will be conducted even in rainy weather but may be suspended or canceled in case of severe weather.
The same projection is shown at all times. To avoid congestion, late-hour visits are recommended.
